What do the sky and the ground give to each other? The horizon, that fiery glow of possibility, that paradoxical reference point to the sobering end of one journey and the hopeful beginning of another. That is the dialectic that brings Bree and I together in our creative endavours.
My background and baseline is a stitched quilt of psychology, philosophy, literature and culture studies, and health sciences; the thread holding them together is how we make meaning as communities to give purpose, connection, and direction to our individual lives, especially during difficult times. I am through and through a ‘logophile’, a lover of words and how they magically braid into enduring metaphors, swaying arguments, and stunning stories.
I pour my self and time into raising our rambunctious son, crafting with polymer clay and other visual media, gardening, writing poetry and short stories, and wandering and advocating for natural places thick with life. I am a 7th-generation Irish/German/Mennonite/English settler born and raised on Treaty 4 territory and now residing as a guest on Treaty 6 territory, Homeland of the Métis. I strive in ALL my activities to foster the restoration of relationships between people, land, and all the beings that call it home.
